EVERY FRIDAY ‘WINE WITH US’ AT DESIGN CONSIGN! – August 10

EVERY FRIDAY at #DesignConsign guests wined with us and had a blast! Guests had the oportunity to #ShopToSupport victims of #domesticviolence! All proceeds went towards the #GloriaFoundation to provide resources to local #safehouses and domestic violence organizations!

FESTIVAL OF THE SEA CARNIVAL – August 10 – 12

Families enjoyed five nights of fun for all ages! Rides for all ages. Pay one price every night to ride the rides all night long! Hourly 50/50’s, Games of Chance! Super Progressive 50/50! Great food! And, much more were there to enjoy!

WATERPARK ADULT NIGHT – August 10

Mountain Creek Waterpark kicked off their third Adult Night of the year on Friday, August 10th. People came out, got wet, partied, and celebrated with us. Some rides that were open until 11pm were Wave Pool, Surf Hill, Alpine Pipeline and High Anxiety. 6 bars were open to drink specials by stoli & moët hennessy.

CRAFTS AND DRAFTS LONE EAGLE BREWING SUMMER 2018 – August 11

Because it’s hot people were able to cool down with a seasonal summer beer at Marketspace and Lone Eagle Brewing’s Crafts and Drafts. Added by popular demand, the August 2018 craft market offered all of the excitement of local summer fun – with air conditioning! Guests met 16 handmade craft vendors inside the loft of this downtown Flemington, New Jersey brewery then pulled up a chair on the outdoor patio. As always, there was food truck grub and award-winning craft beer on tap! Vendors were welcomed to sample the brew. This event was free to attend, family-friendly, and dogs were permitted in the tasting room only.

PRISONERS OF 2ND AVENUE FEATURING JIMMY VIVINO, JOHN CONTE & RICH PAGANO – August 11

Recreating the spirit of Bill Graham’s Fillmore East, PO2A’s Jimmy Vivino (CONAN bandleader, The Fab Faux) told 1st hand stories of attending shows as a teen & with John Conte (Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes) & Rich Pagano (The Fab Faux) performed classic blues-rock interpretations from the mid ’60s through the early ’70s. A typical setlist sumed it up: Cream, Blind Faith, The Band, electric Bob Dylan, Procol Harum, The Band, Blodwyn Pig, Traffic…and more.

Outdoor Faves    

NJ Family listed Ocean City and Sandy Hook as two of N.J. favorite beaches. NJ Family says, “Ocean City, known for its pristine sand, 2 1/2 mile-long boardwalk and hoppin’ mini golf spots, is fun for day trips and family vacays. Sandy Hook, popular for shell collecting and calm waters, is the perfect place to go bird watching or biking with the squad.”

They also said that Essex County Sunflower Maze is one of the Prettiest Hidden Gem‘s in the New Jersey area. This maze makes people feel as if they have just walked into a field of bright yellow sunshine.

The Cape May Lighthouse was named one of the Most Picturesque Lighthouses in the N.J. area. People from all over the state travel here just to take a picture with this iconic lighthouse. NJ Family says, “It’s the third lighthouse to stand proud in that spot over the Atlantic since 1859. More than 21/2 million visitors have traveled up its 199 steps for a view of Cape May, Wildwood and Delaware.”

The Paterson Great Falls is definitely one of the most Instaworthy Photo Spots. “This National Historical Park in Paterson is one of N.J.’s most spectacular natural sites. Formerly the power source for a local mill, the falls are 77 feet high. Now, they’re part of the National Park Service, so visitors can feel the mist for themselves. The best time to visit is in the spring after the snow melts, or any time after a big rainstorm when the falls are rushing at full peak” says NJ Family.

Fun Stuff

Under the category of “Fun Stuff“, NJ Family listed Turtleback Zoo as the favorite zoo in New Jersey. It was named this for its amazing petting zoo interactions and scenery of the animals.

Liberty Science Center is the top family-friendly museum to visit in the N.J. area. On top of the countless awesome things to experience at Liberty Science Center, you don’t want to miss the massive new Planetarium.

YESTERcades is one of the coolest arcades in the area. With locations in Red Bank, Somerville and Westfield, it’s easy to get your Pac-Man on. Relive your arcade days with old-school games and beat the high score on a vintage pinball machine. You can also show the kids what Atari’s all about.

Good Eats

People from all over the state are always looking for new places to eat. One of the Top Seafood Spots is The Lobster House in Cape May. Guests can dig into lobster, oysters and clams at the raw bar. Also, they can climb aboard the Schooner American, a 130-foot boat that doubles as an outdoor cocktail lounge.

Star Tavern World Famous Pizzeria was named best pizza spot to try in New Jersey. The tavern might look like a typical bar and grill, but it’s home to thin crust pizza that they mastered over 65 years.

One of the favorite deli’s is Cosmo’s Italian Salumeria.  NJ Family says, “From homemade mozzarella and imported meats to fresh bread and a no-frills menu, this Hackensack spot is as authentic as it gets….If the food alone doesn’t kindle thoughts of your Nonna, they’re sure to come when the owner sends a regular home with spaghetti on the house.”

If you’re looking for the Sweetest Pancakes, Brownstone Pancake Factory takes the cake. Fluffy buttermilks get gussied up in every way imaginable. Toppings include peanut butter drizzle, house-made blueberry compote and sweet cinnamon apples. The kids will go wild for the deep-fried Nutella French toast sundae.

Me Time

If you’re looking for a great spa experience in the N.J. area, SoJo Spa Club is the place to be.   NJ Family says, “This reimagined Korean bathhouse in Edgewater boasts Manhattan views and internationally-influenced treatments. Take a dip in the Insta-famous rooftop infinity pool more than 100 feet above the street. DIY’s are on the rage these days. AR Workshop, Board and Brush, and MADE at the Park are some of the Most Fun DIY Night Out places in the N.J. area. People can embellish wooden signs, trays or frames with your favorite phrase or family name using gorgeous raw materials. People can either go on their own, or they can plan a night out with all their friends.

2018 STATE FAIR MEADOWLANDS JUNE 29 – JULY 1

State Fair Meadowlands featured a bonanza of scrumptious food from over 50 vendors across the country. The Fairgrounds also featured heart-pounding rides and the largest Kiddy Land in N.J., as well as the area’s only Sky Ride. Fairgoers were also able to experience a wide variety of attractions from having their face painted, to posing for a cartoon caricature or discovering shopping spots including jewelry, spa relaxation, sunglasses, body art, LED apparel, clothing for all ages and much more!

The new nightclub Dear opened this weekend at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City NJ. The entertainment that was featured had the crowd dancing nonstop, while also enjoying delicious drinks.

SharkFest was a shark-themed family fun festival for kids and kids at heart. The event brought dozens of interesting crafts and marine life themed vendors, snacks, & live music to the Waterfront Promenade at the Atlantic Highlands Municipal Harbor Marina.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presented Emmy Award winner John Leguizamo in a live performance of his Tony-nominated hit, Latin History for Morons. The show had the crowd on their feet by the end with pure entertainment in their eyes.

Euro Ent Presented Independence Day Weekend JP Classics Pool Party! Guests were able to attend while relaxing in the pool on the hot day or mingling and drinking with people around. Entertainment was also available for people to dance around or enjoy games!

Emery Kelly, Ricky Garcia and Liam Attridge came back with their new EP, Euphoric. The new EP showcased a more mature sound and experimental beat while still honoring their signature sound.

They’ve spent the last two years selling out concerts across the country and seeing their social media profile soar. The boys continued their musical journey at iPlay America where they got to preform in front of thousands of guests.

Guests were able to go to Marine Park in Red Bank New Jersey to listen to the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra! They were also able to lay out underneath the night sky and gaze at the stars. Some people even said they heard sounds from other planets!
