#HipNJ’s Lisa Marie Latino spoke with Jessica Giovine, founder of The Jess Press in Middletown, NJ, to discuss the variety of items that she designs.
From hand lettered pieces, like wood, mirrors, acrylic for weddings, to paper goods such as stationary invitations and menu cards, she does it all! Anything that you would need to bring your entire wedding day together, Jessica can do. And everything is hand lettering, nothing is vinyl or printed, making it more personal.
Jessica’s process when creating these items includes first picking a theme, such as rustic, modern, or classic. From there, she goes through the types of pieces that the couple would want for their big day, whether it’s seating charts, place cards, welcome signs, or programs. She goes step-by-step to make sure that their theme is portrayed on their special day.
Her store is in Middletown, NJ which has been a great location for her to get customers from all around Jersey. Middletown is an up and coming area, located close to Red Bank and the Jersey Shore. She gets clients from South Jersey to North Jersey. She’s worked with brides from Hoboken and even Manhattan! Being in the center of it all, she gets all of Jersey coming her way.
When asked what 2019 brides are gravitating towards Jessica told us, “Acrylic is the biggest trend right now from welcome signs to seating charts.”
Jessica has paired up with some small businesses and works with shops to sell her items and get her branding out there. To find out more about Jessica’s unique designs, you can follow her Instagram or visit her website!
