Throughout the month of November, #HipNJ is helping Union County’s number one hospital raise funds for a state-of-the-art emergency care facility!
In cooperation with the Trinitas Health Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides vital financial support for Elizabeth’s Trinitas Regional Medical Center, HipNewJersey.com will help launch a #GivingTuesday awareness and fundraising campaign through social media and grassroots efforts to support the new Trinitas Emergency Department.
“The Trinitas Health Foundation is thrilled to embark on this digital and grassroots effort. Funds raised will help with the building of the new 24,000 square foot space, which will increase capacity, reduce overcrowding, enhance patient care and meet the needs of the community,” said Nadine Brechner, Vice President of the Trinitas Health Foundation.
During each Tuesday in November, there will be pop-up party locations staged at Bloomingdale’s Short Hills and on the campus of Kean University, a neighbor of the hospital. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in different activities for varying amounts of donation.
With a minimum donation of $1, visitors can color in the Trinitas Regional Medical Center Logo that will be displayed in the Emergency Department. For a donation of $5, attendees will receive goodies and/or gift cards from partnering brands and businesses, while supplies last. For $10 or more, participants will be entered-to-win a gift from Bloomingdale’s Short Hills. Anyone who visits the pop-up location will be encouraged to partake in an interactive photo booth that will tie directly to the Trinitas social media awareness campaign running online.
The campaign will conclude on the national day of charitable giving, November 29, 2016, otherwise known as #GivingTuesday. On that day, there will be a live Facebook event hosted by former New York Giants legend Ottis Anderson and other guest celebrities such as Joe Piscopo that will encourage viewers to donate funds through the Trinitas Health Foundation website portal.
