Watch Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s “We Take Care Of Our Own” Televised Benefit

Alzheimer’s New Jersey, a New Jersey non-profit focused on helping local families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, is pleased to announce its We Take Care of Our Own Benefit that will be televised on News 12+ on Saturday, June 27 at 9:30 am, and Sunday, June 28 at 8 pm.

The 30-minute show, available on Verizon FIOS 530 and Optimum 61, is being presented in collaboration with media partner Hip New Jersey, a lifestyle program that focuses on events, trends, and lifestyle around the Garden State.

“We are very excited about the potential for our show to increase awareness about the impact of Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the Garden State,” says Ken Zaentz, President and CEO of Alzheimer’s New Jersey. “The impact of the disease is growing and 68% of New Jersey residents now say they know someone who has or had Alzheimer’s. Our News 12+ Benefit gives a voice to the 68% – a chance to share their stories – a chance to explain the impact of Alzheimer’s on their lives as a person with Alzheimer’s, a caregiver, a spouse, a son, daughter or grandchild. People will be inspired by what they see and hear.”

“We have been working with Alzheimer’s New Jersey for a number of years and know the amazing work this organization does to help local families fight Alzheimer’s,” says Lisa Marie Latino, Hip New Jersey Executive Producer and Benefit Host. “This collaboration is a powerful way to bring attention to a critical New Jersey issue and help families now, during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.”

All funds raised (100%) will support Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s education and support programs benefiting New Jersey families. An estimated 5 million Americans are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias of which more than 600,000 are New Jersey residents.
