WFAN‘s Danielle McCartan joins #HipNJ’s Lisa Marie Latino to discuss the wonderful opportunity Danielle was given to be a radio sports host!
Lisa first bonded with the New Jersey native over Twitter and that was when she came to the realization that Danielle works for WFAN, the company that actually gave Lisa her very own start in this business! WFAN is the pioneer radio station to cover sports in the United States and to have the chance to work for them is certainly a privilege.
Danielle reminds us that contrary to the misconceptions, hosting is not as easy as it seems; it isn’t just taking calls and speaking into a microphone. Doing research and providing accurate information is very time consuming among other work she has to complete in her daily life.
Being a woman in the field of sports comes with challenges of its own, but Danielle does not let that make her shy away from her work! The motto she follows, “Game recognizes game,” reminds her that if someone is truly a lover of sports, they won’t care who is delivering the message. Game recognizes game!
